History

History
East Ohio Regional Hospital was founded in 1906 as Martins Ferry Hospital by Dr RH Wilson Having begun with just 30 beds and five physicians EORH is now licensed for nearly 250 beds and utilizes a medical staff of more than 175 physicians dentists and podiatrists

The name was changed from Martins Ferry Hospital in 1985 to East Ohio Regional Hospital to signify the addition of new facilities and an expansion of services EORH now employs more than 600 people making it one of Belmont Countys largest employers
