Description

St Michaels Hospital was built in 1974 and has historically housed the maternity services that cover the south of the city More recently other services such as ENT and Clinical Genetics have also been developed on this site We are proud of the current services we offer particularly those for women and their babies including gynaecology and cancergynaecology

The hospital retains a small and friendly feel but provides modern and progressive services Pregnant women are offered a range of choices when deciding how best their pregnancy labour and post labour care is delivered

All patients coming to St Michaels are offered support from our Chaplaincy team located on Level C next to the Pharmacy There is a welcoming quiet room for use by all denominations Trained psychologists support families in the Neonatal Unit and also those learning to live with cancer

Although we are happy to see emergency cases when referred by GPs we do not have an AE department here
