As a locally owned locally operated notforprofit hospital Yavapai Regional Medical Center
relies on patient revenues and community support for its funding No property taxes have ever
been levied to pay for programs capital improvements or expansion projects If there is revenue
left over after the hospitals expenses are paid this money is reinvested in YRMC to improve
patient care and services to reduce debt and to fund future needs


History

History of Yavapai Regional Medical Center
Since being incorporated in April 1942 Yavapai Regional Medical Center the Prescott areas community hospital has seen a lot of change What started as a simple smalltown hospital in the old Jefferson School building on Marina Street is today a stateoftheart hospital system with two campuses one in Prescott and one in Prescott Valley and an evergrowing selection of highquality programs and services all designed to meet the healthcare needs of our communities

Growth and positive change are a familiar fact of life at YRMC but what has not changed and will never change is the comfort we offer and the compassion we feel These will forever remain

YRMC West our 135bed acutecare facility in Prescott has grown steadily over the years expanding upward and outward adding beds and new services and earning widespread recognition for quality care In 2006 our already stellar reputation was further enhanced when YRMC West was named one of Americas 100 Top Hospitals Among its many services YRMC West offers patients
