History

Our history
The inspiration of twelve local women became a reality when Drusilla Cravens a wealthy widow agreed to donate a house that was used as the first hospital on August 25 1899 Today The Kings Daughters Hospital serves families in parts of southeast Indiana and northern Kentucky

1957 Dr Evan C Totten Wing opened

1965 Hospital expansion increases bed capacity
from 75 to 109 beds

1971 4th Floor added Druscilla Home Addition

1978 Rinda F Rains Wing completed

1984 Two floord added to Rinda Rains Wing

1986 Versailles Medical Building opened

1992 KDH Rehabilitation Center opened on
Madisons hilltop

1994 KDH Cancer Center opened
