Sullivan County Community Hospital is a 25bed acute care facility located on the north side of Sullivan Indiana Our hospital offers a variety of outpatient services including but not limited to physical therapy occupational therapy speech therapy laboratory services outpatient surgery respiratory therapy radiology and emergency room Inpatients may either be admitted to the MedicalSurgical Intensive Coronary Care or Obstetric units where our caring nursing staff will ensure your stay is as pleasant as possible All of our inpatient rooms are private so you may rest comfortably during your time with us We strive to provide an atmosphere of respect love caring compassion and excellence to those we serve
Sullivan County Community Hospital works cooperatively with local healthcare providers businesses schools churches and organizations to address community healthcare needs and to provide a continuum of care which is beneficial in the healing process

History
Sullivan County Community Hospitals History
Sullivan County Community Hospital opened at 320 North Section Street in 1918 as the Sullivan County Hospital It was renamed in 1925 to Mary Sherman Hospital after the wife of benefactor Cuthbert Sherman A major renovation project took place in the early 1960s where the south wing was added to the structure In May of 1998 groundbreaking took place for the current facility at 2200 North Section Street with grand opening ceremonies taking place in July 1999 The name Sullivan County Community Hospital was adopted in May 1999 to reflect the service area of SCCH The new facility better serves the healthcare needs of Sullivan County as it is on one level and encompasses more than 95000 square feet providing for expanded service areas for many departments as well as room for physicians offices
