Situated near the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers in Lewiston Idaho SJRMC has been providing medical care to the LewistonClarkston Valley and surrounding 8 counties since 1902 when the Sisters of St Joseph of Carondelet began giving medical services in a small frame house near the Snake River From this modest beginning SJRMC has grown to be a regional medical center

Comprised of a medical team of more than 139 active courtesy and consulting physicians St Joseph Regional Medical Center offers the region a variety of specialty services

A notforprofit hospital sponsored by the Sisters of St Joseph of Carondelet SJRMC is a part of the Ascension Health System and is licensed to operate 125 acute medicalsurgical care beds 20 adult acute care psychiatric beds and 16 skilled nursing faculty beds in the Transitional Care Unit SJRMC also offers a Mental Health Center with inpatient and outpatient facilities a home health agency and Family Hospice and outpatient rehabilitation services
