South Haven Community Hospital has been serving the health care and medical needs of area residents since 1907 Initially organized as a City Hospital the facility was reorganized as an Authority Hospital in the 1960s designated to serve the Cities of South Haven and Bangor and the surrounding Townships of Arlington Bangor Casco Columbia Covert Geneva and South Haven Each of these political subdivisions appoints a representative to our Board of Trustees and these nine Trustees then select up to seven members at large which comprises the governing Board for the Hospital
We are proud to have served our communities in southwest Michigan for over 100 years We offer a full range of health care and medical services from Emergency and Urgent Care to general and orthopedic surgery from our Shoreline Womens Center to our Birthing Center from inpatient care to home health care
Our diagnostic care includes a full range of imaging services We put a new 64slice CT scanner on line at the end of 2006 The majority of our imaging services have been on PACS since 2003 or digital quotfilmlessquot imagining for over two years
Our Medical Staff consists of well trained physicians and providers specializing in Emergency Medicine Urgent Care Obstetrics amp Gynecology Internal Medicine General Surgery Orthopedic Surgery Family Medicine Pediatrics Radiology Cardiology Occupational Medicine and Rheumatology
Our excellent staff of therapists provide physical occupational orthopedic and speech therapy as well as strength training and physical conditioning An important component of our therapy provides for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation This facility also contains an Aquatics Center with a lap pool hot tub and warm water therapy pool In addition to medicallybased rehab this new Center and our staff of trained professionals personal trainers and therapists may also be accessed by the public
