About Us
In 1958 the people of Pike County collectively brought a new organization into existence giving it the mission of meeting their needs for health care services They created Pike Countys first and only community hospital Pike County Hospital

In the past 45 years PCH has seen many changes in the field of healthcare In 2000 construction and renovations were completed on the Phase II Development Project which ultimately ushered in a new era for the Hospital

Mission
The Primary goal of Pike Community Hospital is

To establish operate and maintain health service programs that are provided primarily but not exclusively for the benefit of residents of Pike County Ohio responsive to and capable of being supported by the health care needs of the population of Pike County staffed by qualified physicians nurses technical management and support personnel recognizing that the recruitment and retention of such skilled staff is essential to this element of the hospitals mission managed in a manner that is fiscally responsible and operated in a manner that meets accepted institutional and professional standards of health care delivery and strives for continuous quality improvement made available to the public in an manner that promotes and fosters health awareness consumer satisfaction and positive community relation and

To recruit develop and maintain a qualified Medical Staff representative of the skills and disciplines determined by the hospital with input as appropriate from other community organizations to be responsive to the needs of Pike County residents and capable of being supported by the available resources of the hospital and the citizens of Pike County

It is also the goal of Pike Community Hospital to serve the residents of Pike County by being a fair and responsible employer providing employment and career opportunities to local citizens to the extent practical and consistent with the hospitals needs and fiscal constraints an active participant in and affiliate of the healthrelated career programs sponsored by educational institutions in Pike County and elsewhere in Ohio for the growth and development of its own employees and of other students enrolled in those academic programs an active member of the business community in Pike County contributing to the wellbeing of the countys economy and cooperating with other businesses and governmental entities in the county to promote responsible communitybased organization using all public and private funds provided to it through payments for services tax levies grants and contributions in a manner this is fiscally sound legally appropriate and in the best interest of the citizens of Pike County
