Parkwood Behavioral Health System is a 128 bed facility devoted exclusively to the care and treatment of children adolescents and adults with psychiatric and substance abuse issues Since commencing operations in April 1987 Parkwood has successfully served North Mississippi and the MidSouth region through the offering of comprehensive mental health services Programs include inpatient partial intensive outpatient and residential treatment Our Residential Treatment Center has a fully licensed school on campus known as Park Academy

Parkwood Behavioral Health System located in DeSoto County is in the uppermost northwest corner of Mississippi Approximately 7 miles south of Memphis TN the hospital is part of the Memphis Metropolitan Statistical Area which serves a census of approximately 12 million people

Presently there are four outreach assessment centers located throughout the northernmost part of Mississippi These are located in Tupelo Batesville Grenada and Cleveland MS In addition we offer mobile assessment services in the northeast part of Mississippi
