Description

About Us
Page Hospital is a 25bed facility that serves Northern Arizona Built in 1958 the hospital provides a range of medical services that include Emergency Services Surgery Medical Imaging Obstetrics Cardiopulmonary Acute Care and Rehabilitation

Page Hospital is the first hospital within the Banner Health to join the Planetree Alliance As a Planetree Affiliate Page Hospital is a place of physical mental and spiritual healing and a place where employees strive to care for patients with compassion dignity and respect Our philosophy of care is centered on a holistic approach This means the care and service provided to each patient are not just based on physical or medical needs but also take into account spiritual and emotional wellbeing We want to work with you to help set goals for your care and recovery We encourage patients and their families to be involved in decisions about their own health care

In keeping with the Planetree philosophy many distractions commonly associated with hospitals have been removed Medical equipment is kept out of patient view and overhead paging and staff announcements have been replaced with the soothing sounds of soft music Hospital rooms have couches refrigerators access to outdoor patios and gardens and fullsize beds draped in homelike linens Artwork and deacutecor is inspired by the areas large Native American population and the surrounding beauty of the canyons and Lake Powell Other Native American elements include a weaving loom and a traditional healing Hogan

Page Hospitals new 10000squarefoot Emergency department was completed in January 2008 The department was designed using the Planetree model of patientcentered care and to resemble a nautilus a crustacean with a spiral shaped shell divided into chambers Nautilus is a natural geometry a symbol of beauty and proportional perfection The nautilus design concept emerged as the architects worked to incorporate staff ideas for the new Emergency department The nautilus shape is apparent in the curvature of the outside walls and the perfectly proportioned private patient bays centered around the staff work area
