From its beginnings in 1911 as a trust established by Bertha Lindau Cone Moses Cone Health System has grown into one of the premier healthcare institutions in North Carolina Today Moses Cone Health System consists of five hospitals LeBauer HealthCare Penn Nursing Center and numerous freestanding outpatient facilities including Moses Cone MedCenterHigh Point and Moses Cone MedCenterKernersville Moses Cone Health System is a member of The HealthCare Alliance

Moses Cone Health System is a notforprofit health system serving people in Guilford Rockingham Alamance and Randolph counties as well as the city of Kernersville In 2007 Moses Cone Health System provided 90 million in uncompensated care

Based at The Moses H Cone Memorial Hospital the Moses Cone Heart and Vascular Center enjoys a national reputation In fiscal year 2007 it was the fourth busiest hospital in North Carolina when it comes to heart catheterizations Through its affiliation with LeBauer Cardiovascular Research Foundation doctors explore the latest treatments for heart disease Research findings are published in such prestigious publications as the New England Journal of Medicine

The Moses Cone Regional Cancer Center located on the campus of Wesley Long Community Hospital holds the designation of Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Center and through its affiliation with Southeastern Cancer Control Consortium provides patients with the newest treatments

The Womens Hospital of Greensboro is home to one of the areas most experienced neonatal intensive care teams The hospitals level II and III unit has been providing care to critically ill newborns for nearly 25 years The hospital also houses the nationally accredited Breast and Ultrasound Imaging Center

In July 2001 Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville became part of Moses Cone Health System Annie Penn Hospital was established in 1930 It has 50 active members on its medical staff The hospital is licensed at 110 acute care beds and provides care for the people of Reidsville and the surrounding area
