Morton Plant North Bay Hospital is the birthplace of West Pasco County health care When opened in September 1965 the 50bed facility was the first hospital in New Port Richey

Today the 122bed hospital is in the midst of a 49 million expansion that will include a threestory patient wing with private rooms new intensive care unit and digital operating suites A fourstory 60000squarefoot medical office building will feature an expanded sleep disorders center laboratory services outpatient rehabilitation services and physician offices
