Critical Access Hospital The hospital is a member of the
American Hospital Association and the Tennessee
Hospital Association Macon County General Hospital is
accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations

During the past several years Macon County General
Hospital has expanded its services to meet the growing
health care needs of the community With services like
Mobile MRI and state of the art CT services patients
no longer have to drive out of town for these services

The Emergency Room area and patient rooms have been
renovated to better accommodate the patients and their
families

Macon County General Hospital is the only hospital in Macon County The hospital offers quality in and outpatient services to the community Our mission is

To continually improve our services to meet our community health care needs

All patients shall be treated equitably and with dignity respect and

The hospital shall be operated as a notforprofit business and yet provide
a reasonable return to allow for adequate funds to replace and add new
equipment and facilities

Provide services in a personal and caring manner

The hospital shall provide financial assistance to assist lowincome or
uninsured patients who do not otherwise have the ability to pay for the
necessary services they receive while balancing the need to maintain a
fiscally sound operation

Deliver costefficient services

Develop appropriate network and affiliations arrangements with other
healthcare organizations to meet the communitys health care needs and the
changing healthcare environment

Monitor clinical outcomes in an effective manner to assure quality care is
provided to the patients we serve
