Since opening in 1978 as a community hospital Lake Regional Health System has become a stateoftheart health care organization The 500000 square foot 116bed hospital offers comprehensive diagnostic medical and surgical care cardiac care orthopedics oncology intensive care obstetrics rehabilitation skilled care and outpatient services
The systems wholly owned forprofit subsidiary Lake Regional Medical Management Inc operates seven freestanding primary care clinics 14 specialty clinics three retail pharmacies and an urgent care clinic
Lake Regional Health System employs more than 1200 individuals and 100 providers serve on its medical staff More than 350 volunteers routinely donate their time to the organization Collectively these dedicated individuals serve the residents of Camden Miller and Morgan counties as well as parts of Laclede and Pulaski counties
In addition the hospital serves as the main health care provider for the estimated five million visitors to the Lake of the Ozarks each year Lake Regionals Emergency Department a statedesignated Level III trauma center treats more than 36000 patients annually Lake Regional Urgent Care also is open daily to treat minor injuries and illnesses
