Since 1978families in northern Colorado have turned to Hospice of Northern Colorado when having the support and expertise of hospice staff is profoundly important We provide care in patients homes in longterm care facilities and at our InPatient Care Center located on the fourth floor of North Colorado Medical Center As a comprehensive program hospice care considers the unique physical emotional and spiritual needs of each individual Working closely with patients families medical professionals and caregivers our expert and caring staff focuses on helping people who are terminally ill live in comfort and with dignity

Hospice of Northern Colorado is a nonprofit community based hospice serving rural and urban communities of Colorados Weld Larimer and Morgan Counties Each communitys needs are met without regard to race color religion age gender sexual orientation handicap mental or physical national origin diagnosis or ability to pay

HNC has played an important role in our communities for nearly 33 years Year after year our customer service remains the hallmark of our organization When people hear hospice our organization comes to mind We provide our patients with high quality end of life care aimed at reaching each patients goals We educate both patients and families regarding end of life issues helping them make better decisions and make the most of their remaining time


History

History
Founded in 1978 as Weld County Hospice we began as a volunteer establishment serving 18 patients in our first year In 1995 Hospice of Northern Colorado as it was called opened our hospital based inpatient unit the InPatient Care Center at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley Our administrative offices moved into our current location at 2726 West 11th Street Road in Greeley in June 1997 We expanded our services in the last year to serve Larimer County with our Loveland staff office that opened in January of 2008

Presently HPCNC employs 65 individuals and utilizes the resources of nearly 65 volunteers in Northern Colorado Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado was granted an exemption for federal income tax under section 501 C 3 in January of 1980 and certified to accept Medicare benefits in May of 1982
