Hillcrest delivers more babies than any other east side community hospital and babies with special needs are cared for in the Cleveland Clinic Childrens Hospital Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit NICU The hospital also features a Pediatric Emergency Department

In Fall 2010 the hospital completed a 163 million expansion and renovation project that included stateoftheart facilities with major infrastructure and technology improvements During the expansion a new bed tower with 72 private rooms was built new surgical suites were added the Emergency Department capacity was doubled and a new neonatal intensive care unit was built Plans for 2011 include renovation of the labor and delivery and postpartum areas
