HiDesert Memorial Health Care District distinguishes itself as the leader for health care services of the Morongo Basin A modern nonprofit 59bed acute primary care hospital is located on the principal campus of the HiDesert Medical Center Services include a wide range of quality inpatient and outpatient diagnostic treatment and rehabilitation services home health and hospice services and a variety of community outreach services

HiDesert Medical Center is the primary provider of health services in the Morongo Basin serving a population of more than 68000 Patients benefit from caring qualified staff and advanced technology all in a convenient setting located in Joshua Tree California

HiDesert Medical Center has more than 100 physicians in 28 medical specialties and 519 employees Licensed by the State of California and fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations and the California Medical Association the hospital holds membership in the California Healthcare Association and the Hospital Council of Southern California

This year HiDesert Medical Center is celebrating its 30th year of bringing quality health care to the residents of the Morongo Basin The hospital was born of a consolidation of two previously existing hospital districts The HiDesert Memorial Hospital in Yucca Valley and the Twentynine Palms Hospital District merged to create the present organization

The medical center campus also includes the Continuing Care Center a 120bed skilled nursing facility providing 95 skilled nursing resident beds and 25 subacute beds The Continuing Care Center celebrated its 15th year of service and offers a beautiful view of the surrounding desert in a clean air environment

HiDesert Home Health and Hospice extends the medical centers services into the communities we serve HiDesert Home Health Services ranked above national and state averages in overall quality is available to continue your care at home Our Hospice team is available to assist patients and families with end of life care Home Health Compare CMS data 2004
