Gunnison Valley Hospital GVH is a 24bed short term acute care hospital owned and operated by the County of Gunnison GVH is a Critical Access hospital governed by a 7member Board of Trustees appointed by the Gunnison County Commissioners and licensed by the State of Colorado Since 1938 GVH has provided quality health care to the residents and visitors of the Gunnison County

The Colorado Department of Health and the Food and Drug Administration licenses Gunnison Valley Hospital Gunnison Valley Hospital is a registered provider with the Colorado Department of Health Policy and Financing for participation in the state Medicaid program as well as certified by the Federal Department of Health and Human Services for participation in the Medicare program

The Gunnison Valley Hospital is a healthcare team consisting of Specialists Surgeons Physician Assistants Nursing Staff technicians and technologists all working in conjunction with various local Family Practice Physicians from multiple offices
