Mrs Frey opened a private hospital with Doctor Hoyt in charge on Second Avenue South

Frances Hoyt Mahon Memorial Hospital Association was formed AW Mahon whose young wife Frances Hoyt Mahon sister of Dr Hoyt had died three years earlier offered to donate an entire city block facing the park for a hospital

1911
Frances Hoyt Mahon Memorial Hospital Association opened its doors on November 21 1911

1914
The hospital was incorporated as Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital

1935
The second unit of the hospital complex was constructed with the assistance of the WPA It was a threestory brick building and its doors opened in 1936

1968
Thirty beds were added to the hospital This area is commonly known as the 68 Wing

1978
A modern fiftyfour bed hospital was completed It included a surgery suite emergency department and the 1968 wing as the medical floor

1988
A wing was added to the south of FMDH to house a Chemical Dependency Center

1992
The CDC was moved off campus and the south wing was remodeled for office space and support services

1997
FMDH was completly computerized because of a joint venture with three other Montana medical facilities to purchase Meditech an integrated computer system

1998
FMDH completed a new Medical Office Building to house the Glasgow Clinic

2003
Valley Drug and Medical Arts Pharmacy merged to become 5th Avenue

Pharmacy An addition was added to FMDH to house the new pharmacy and permanent MRI facilities

2004
FMDH remodeled and modernized the Labor Delivery and Recovery department ICU and surgery suite
