July 13 2004 The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation awards Doctors Hospital a tenyear 18 million grant to support enhanced patient care and access improved osteopathic medical education and faculty development The grant will be used to help strengthen Doctors Hospitals position as a quality patient care facility and establish it as the nations premier osteopathic postgraduate medical education center

The Society of Chest Pain Centers grants the designation of Accredited Chest Pain Center to Doctors Hospital making it the second in the Columbus metro area to be accredited Riverside Methodist Hospital is also an accredited Chest Pain Center To receive this accreditation the Chest Pain Center at Doctors Hospital had to demonstrate its expertise and commitment to quality patient care by meeting or exceeding a wide set of stringent criteria and completing onsite evaluations by a review team from the Society of Chest Pain Centers
