In Iberia Parish Dr Henry Dauterive teamed up with a small staff of nurses fellow physicians and other healthcare providers to open Dauterive Hospital on Duperier Avenue within a stones throw of the historic Bayou Teche waters

Keeping pace with progress

Dr Henry Dauterive founded the hospital on a commitment to provide high quality cost effective healthcare right here in Iberia Parish As the parish continued to grow and expand Dauterive Hospital did so right along with it

The Duperier Avenue facility expanded to 47 beds before progress led Dr Henry Dauterive to move the hospital in 1970 to its current location at 600 North Lewis Avenue
