Centra Specialty Hospital is a 36bed long term acute care hospital providing clinical services to patients who require an extended stay in an acute care setting Located on the fifth floor of Centra Virginia Baptist Hospitals campus we specialize in the care of patients with complex extended medical needs Patients are referred to Centra Specialty Hospital for continuation of acute medical care because the severity and complexity of their medical condition prevents them from being discharged home or transferred to a rehab unit or skilled nursing facility
