About Care New England
Care New England Health System CNE was formed in February 1996 by founding members Butler Hospital Kent Hospital and Women amp Infants Hospital of Rhode Island Based in Providence Rhode Island Care New England serves the southeastern New England community

In February 1999 the Care New England Wellness Centers were opened in East Providence and Warwick RI The Centers are a cooperative venture of Care New England HealthTrax and Kent Occupational Health

In June 1999 Kent County Visiting Nurse Association became a member of the Care New England family and later that year announced its name change to VNA of Care New England In 2000 HealthTouch Inc a private duty nursing service joined the division Today Care New England Home Health provides a broad spectrum of home health and hospice services

Care New Englands strengths are based on complementary programs and distinctive competencies of our partner hospitals and agencies Butler offers expertise in behavioral health and substance abuse Kent provides a full cadre of primary and secondary acute care services Women amp Infants specializes in the health needs of women and newborn children Care New England Home Health provides a spectrum of home health hospice and private duty nursing services And our Care New England Wellness Centers offer an array of rehabilitation wellness fitness and educational programs As a result Care New England is well positioned to transition into the new era of health care delivery with a high quality continuum of care

Care New England is dedicated to the advancement of medical education and research Butler Hospital serves as the principal teaching affiliate for psychiatry and human behavior for Brown Medical School Women amp Infants is Browns primary affiliate in obstetrics gynecology and newborn pediatrics and Kent is affiliated with the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine
