The Bacon County Hospital and Health System
The Bacon County Hospital and Health System has a long history of determined selfsufficient and innovative service

The Bacon County Hospital and Health System was originally built on Wayne Street in 1952 through the efforts of community leaders and with the help of HillBurton grant funds That year the 35bed Bacon County Hospital and Health System was built to replace the first Alma hospital Over the years the hospital grew and became a part of the comprehensive healthcare system Bacon County residents enjoy today

We are very proud of the excellent healthcare that has been delivered by the Bacon County Hospital and Health System day after day and year after year We look forward to caring for the community and being a part of economic growth in the future

The financially successful Health System is comprised of the Bacon County Hospital and Health System 25bed Critical Access Hospital Twin Oaks Convalescent Center 88 beds ABC Child Development Center average daily census 153 children and Community Care Centers The System including the nursing home has been JCAHO accredited since 1995 The CEO has years experience in hospital administration and has been with the System since 1981 Projects in the last three years include building 35 million ER OR and OB departments replacement of all radiology equipment with digital technology renovations to patient rooms additions to the nursing home and day cared center and renovation of the laboratory
