ASK was initiated by local neighbourhood churches in answer to the need for daily care and social activities for the seniors in our community who have chronic health problems We are now located at 601 West 59th Avenue just West of Cambie Street

Local community members on the Board of ASK determine its Mission and guide its activities according to the Vision they have established ASK has the support of many volunteers Most of these are members of the immediate community who have a keen interest in maintaining the quality of their community service

ASK is a happy place where staff and volunteers enjoy making a meaningful contribution and where program participants and their caregivers feel embraced by a caring community

This vision was established during strategic business planning sessions held in April and May 2004 By September 2004 strategic initiatives were established to ensure the achievement of our vision The Executive Director reports to the board quarterly regarding progress on these initiatives

As part of the initiatives a working document defining the societys vision in greater detail was completed in May 2002 and reviewed in 2005 The draft was discussed with various community stakeholders before becoming the societys guide for development

physical space

To increase the number of Adult Day Centre clients served
