The practice has nearly 8000 patients and covers an area of about 90 square miles although 80 of patients are within three miles of the surgery premises 65 live in Hungerford itself
The practice is within the West Berkshire PCT area which covers West Berkshire Reading and Wokingham
The purposebuilt surgery building is owned by the partners is in positive equity and the loan is covered by the quotcost rentquot scheme The original building dates from 1959 but after three extension during the 1970s and 1980s the surgery was doubled in size and remodelled in 1993 It is in a splendid setting and has ample space providing patients and staff with a relaxed environment There are six consulting rooms three treatment rooms in addition to extensive administrative rooms
