Sri Manakula Vinayaga Educational Trust was formed with the avowed objective of imparting quality technical education and medical education especially to the weaker sections of the society To cherish this objective and to join hands with the policy of the Government of Puducherry in enhancing technical education to meet the needs of our nation the trust established Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College in 1999 The Trust has also established Venkateswara College of Education and Venkateswara Teacher Training Institute in 2005 In the field of Medical Education it started Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital in 2006 This Institution is approved by the Medical Council of India Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India and is affiliated to the Pondicherry University

Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College amp Hospital is an Ultra modern multi specialty tertiary care hospital and a medical research center The hospital has an inpatient capacity of 900 beds inclusive of 125 critical care beds in different specialties As a tertiary care hospital the health care services offered are comprehensive covering investigation diagnosis therapy surgery and post operative care The inpatient services are complemented with day centers outpatient facilities and an exclusive center for health check up for executives
