Hodko medical center was established in 2005 Later as the need and demand for the services increased it was converted in to well equipped 16 bedded day care center in 2008 It was renamed as Sharda Medical Center SMC Networking with government and non government organizations have helped to provide value added services The focus is on Reproductive and Child Health
During the year 10617 patients through OPD and 18 indoor patients were treated 265 patients availed services of pathology laboratory 11173 patients availed facility of the drug store
Recognizing the needs of this region Government of Gujarat has given Mobile Medical Unit MMU to be run by SFT from its Hodko center MMU is a large van well equipped with laboratory facilities a doctor two nursing staff pharmacist a lab technician and a male and female support staff Services started on March 15 2012 treated 2005 patients in two weeks Excellent utilization is indicative of service needs of the area
