DR C C Hazra joined the SSLNT Maternity and Eye Hospital as Chief Medical Officer in year 1961 Prior to joining here he worked in the well known Chittaranjan Seva Sadan Hospital under the eminent medical educationalists Prof Dr BCRoy and Prof Dr Subodh Mitra

Soon after joining the SSLNTHospitalDrCCHazra took upon himself the concurrence of the management of the SSLNTrust Before joining this hospital there were only a few indoor beds two beds and a free out patients department With his active works and efforts the hospital rose as a well known maternity centre in the southern part of the state of Jharkhand As Chief Medical Officer of the hospital he was subsequently designated as Superintendent of this maternity and eye hospital The hospital grew to 250 beds and gradually became well known and rose to eminents in the whole state of Jharkhand extending medical care as major maternity hospital By 1974 this hospital was gifted to the Board of Control Patliputra Medical College by the management of SSLNTrust The Hospital become a fully equipped hospital attracting large numbers of patients from the state of Jharkhand and neighbouring states In the new management setup after the hospital was taken over by the board of control DrCCHazra became the Superintendent of the hospital and Professor and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of PATLIPUTRA MEDICAL COLLEGE and HOSPITALS DHANBAD on the recommendation of DrGAcharya then the Chairmen of the Board of Control of which DrCCHazra was also chosen as member of the Board of Control Under his active stewardship the hospital ultimately became a teaching hospital for OBG amp GYNAE and EYE under RANCHI UNIVERSITY and was recognized by the Medical Council of India

In his public and social life he is associated with many Philanthropic organizations and regularly contributes substantial donations Besides being an Eminent Gynaecologist in the State of Jharkhand he has started a school and college for tribal studentsquotAdibasiquotalong with the cooperation of prominent persons of the district at TUNDI He is also the chairman of the college Besides this he is also the founder member of many schools and colleges at DHANBAD

Besides professional works he devotes much time for educational development of the district He is also the president of Pranjivan Academic and higher secondary school He is also a prominent ROTARIAN and public and social worker He was also the past president of ROTARY CLUB of DHANBAD and PAUL HARRIS FELLOW MEMBER of ROTARY INTERNATIONAL

DRCCHazra relinquished his assignment on PMCH was fully taken over by the government in the year 1981 and he started his own RCHazra Memorial Hospital with capacity of 65 beds for quotHospital for womenquot The hospital has a well equipped pathological laboratory and well equipped Infertility research center for males and females The operation theater and delivery room and other units of the hospital are well equipped with modern and sophisticated appliances The indoor patients are easily capable of getting medical care and the attention of eminent consultants medical officers besides the paramedical staff round the clock In short DrCCHazra is an Eminent Gynaecologist associated with many philanthropic organizations and a popular person with a cheerful disposition He is an institute by himself
