Nazareth Hospital began its journey on 21st November 1974 with the foundation stone laid by the then Bishop of Allahabad Diocese Rt Rev Alfred Fernandes The overall in charge of this project was taken care of by Rev Fr Philip Noronha In the meantime the Reverend Sisters of the Congregation of Sisters of Nazareth Angamaly Ernakulam Kerala were drafted into this project and their invaluable services keenly desired They willingly consented and on 8th December 1975 a singlestoried Nazareth Hospital was inaugurated Rev Fr Philip Noronha was appointed the Founder Director
