The Pragati Foundation is a charitable Institute which was started 50 years ago by a group of students with a Book Bank The foundation has one Homeopathy dispensary and a small thirty bedded Hospital called Naresh Manilal Gandhi Sarvajanik Hospital Today it has reached to this stage of 120 bedded multispeciality Hospital in the name of Hira Mongi Navneet Hospital specially to cater CARE WITH HUMAN TOUCH to the needy patients
50 of the beds are subsidized and are of Rs 300 par day though the cost per bed per day is Rs 450 Deserving cases and economical poor patients are given the necessary concession We also provide free treatment to the patients under the poverty line We have a few special rooms to accommodate the upper middle class of patients The rates are much less than the prevailing rates in Nursing homes and other hospitals in Mulund
We have 10 consulting rooms and 160 consultants attached to our hospital list is attached who give their opinion at a nominal cost of Rs 80100 We have 24 hrs running laboratory and radiology department If desired provisional reports are given to the patients immediately after the test We do not levy any extra charges for the tests even if they are done on Sunday or holidays
We have eight bedded day care casualty with emergency fully equipped operation theatre so that emergency operations can be carried out immediately
We have 10 bedded ICU with round the clock trained Intensivist with three Respirators Infusion pumps etc with 24 hrs Blood gas analyzer to check the Oxygen level of the patients blood Even the ICU charges are much less in comparison to the prevailing charges in Mulund
We have Six dialysis machines and we are running 3 four hourly shifts Recently we have started a fourth shift 9 pm to 1 am specially for the working people as we found that some of the patients are the only bread earner of the family They can work during the day and come for dialysis in the night and can resume the work next day This has received a good response
The cost per dialysis is also very low for patients it is Rs 550 per day per dialysis where as the cost to the Hospital is Rs 850 per dialysis day The hospital subsides the cost In the deserving and selected cases even this cost is waived off
We have a full fledged Urological Department in association with RG Stone enterprises to deal with all types of Urological diseases The Uro dynamic studies Lithoplexy crushing and removal of kidney stones laparoscopic amp laser treatment facilities are available at very subsidized rates
Our Operation Theatre needs a special mention that it is fully equipped with an ultra modern remote controlled Operation table imported shadow less lights and Laminar flow heppa filters which keeps the operating area absolutely sterile and germ free
Orthopaedic Department carries out knee and Hip Replacement at very subsidized rates Total package of the Knee surgery excluding medicines is Rs 125000 for imported Prosthesis and Rs 85000 for Indian Prosthesis Spine fracture cases and other orthopaedic operations are regularly done at the hospital with the help of 10 orthopaedic surgeons attached to the Hospital
Our Neurosurgical department carries out all type of Brain amp neuro surgeries We have achieved good results in Brain Tumours cerebral haemorrhages and other neurological disorders
We have an Endoscopy Department with facilities of Video Endoscopy and ERCP It has saved many lives by cauterizing the bleeding sites and or removing the foreign bodies
Our Dental Department has two separate units One is routine dentistry and other Dental Speciality where post graduate dental Surgeons are offering their services of special techniques at a very subsidized rate
Our Opthalmic Department with 10 Ophthalmologists does Cataract Operations at the cost varying from Rs 3000 to 22000 depending upon the type of lenses and the technique of operation We have facilities for phaeco type of cataract operations
We have full fledged Physiotherapy Department Audiometry Department to assess the amount of deafness full day Sonography Department and 2 D Echo Cardiography and colour dopplar with appointment
