Our DN Mehta Sarvajanik Hospital is a 125 bed Hospital in Navsari We have a special ward for Parsees in our hospital where we provide subsidies poor and needy parsees requiring medical treatment We also provide free treatment including operations from Bai Dosibai Kotwal Parsi Boys Orphanage in Navsari We provide free treatment of 41 days in all Parsees Delivery Cases We provide subsidize treatment to Parsee general ward patients giving them relief of Rs 4000 in indoor medicine we also give 50 concession to Parsee patients in X Ray bills in OPD amp Indoor Parsee wards Many of our patients are poor Parsees from the city to Navsari as also from other cities and village of South Gujarat As the Medical expenses nowadays are very expensive many poor Parsis take advantage of subsidize treatment giving by our institution
We require the support of philanthropist trusts to enable us to continue help the poor and needy Parsees We will be very grateful if you will kindly consider extending us support by reimbursing us the amount expended by us on providing relief to the poor Parsee patients during the year April 2011 to March 2012 the total relief given to poor patients is Rs 324347352 which includes poor Parsee of Rs 60539242
This facility provided by us has helped many poor needy Parsees a lot and to continue doing so we are badly in need of funds Your kind gesture will bring smile on many miserable faces
History
DN Mehta Sarvajanik Hospital was founded in 1915 as Parsee Maternity Hospital known as DNMehta Parsee Lying in hospital with the capacity of 32 beds and for 40 days stay in the hospital Due to migration of Parsee families of Navsari and its surrounding villages to Bombay and other part of country number of Parsee patients went on decreasing year by year In the year of 1968 change in the trust deed was made with the order of honorable district court and the name of the hospital was changed from D N Mehta Parsee lying in hospital to D N Mehta Sarvajanik Hospital
