The City Hospital Research amp Diagnostic Centre was born 20 years ago with the vision of a dreamer in the medical field of Dakshina Kannada Dr K Bhaskar Shetty a dynamic surgeon Mr Nithyaranjandas Hegde a businessman of repute joined him as the other director The sole aim of these visionaries was to provide total Health Care to the people of this part of the country at an affordable cost with the best medical attention and affectionate care

The hospital started in 1987 with 60 beds has grown today into a 200 bedded multispecialty hospital catering for all types of specialized treatments to patients

All types of joint replacements laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries and interlocking nails spinal surgeries and also brain surgeries are routinely done

Since its founding in 1987 the hospitals management has been directed by a board of men and women chosen for their devotion and civic leadership

City Hospital Charitable Trust the sister concern of the City Hospital Research amp Diagnostic Centre was founded in 1989 with the singular objective to promote medical and paramedical education in this coastal region

Clinical Facilities
The clinical teaching for students enrolled for BPT and Nursing courses is conducted at the associated hospital
