ensuring a focus on prevention of illness and disability in all programs and services
supporting aging in place by optimization of the physical environment
facilitating a living and working environment that promotes and balances safety risktaking and the needs of the residents and employees

OUR FACILITY

Our fourstorey concrete building with brick veneer is horseshoeshaped and surrounded by a beautifully landscaped secure courtyard and garden

The Administration Offices main lounge and dining room are housed on the main floor while the resident rooms are located on three care units above There are a total of 130 beds located on the second 44 beds third 42 and fourth 44 beds floors

Resident rooms are private with ensuite facilities and are fully furnished Residents are encouraged to bring personal items from home to decorate their room the Handbook for Residents and Families is available for reference

Each floor has 10 rooms designed to accommodate residents with wheelchairs Our second floor unit is designated for Special Care Seniors specifically those with Alzheimers Disease and other forms of dementia

All rooms are equipped with a voice callbell system at the bedside and in the washroom a smoke alarm and sprinklers Cablevision and telephone outlets are located in each room but the hookup charges and monthly fees are the choice and responsibility of each resident or family member

Each floor has a nursing station with pharmacy centralized bath area with specialized bathing units and a visiting lounge

Our roof top garden main floor greenhouse large activity area and a warm fireplace are just some of the features we offer to create a home environment for our residents and their families
