Windsor Regional Hospital was established in 1994 following a merger of Windsor Western Hospital Centre Inc and Metropolitan General Hospital Windsor Regional Hospital provides over 180 years of combined history in health care services Today it provides Acute and Continuing Care Services with 669beds on various sites and is one of the largest nonteaching hospitals in the Province on Ontario The advance of a medical school in Windsor will elevate the status of Windsor Regional Hospital to a teaching hospital within a few years
