Souris Hospital is a 17 bed one observation bed acute care rural facility located in Souris PEI It provides services for approximately 7000 residents of Eastern Kings as well as other parts of the province and visitors to the area The categories of care are laboratory and xray services physiotherapy occupational therapy pharmacy nutrition counseling and access to the Kings County Diabetes Education Program located in the lower level of the Hospital Dialysis is offered at Souris Hospital although it is administered through the Home Care section of the Department of Health and Wellness

Within Souris Hospital we provide acute care and ambulatory care which are located on the upper level The lower level houses the Eastern Kings Family Health Center Physicians offices Home Care amp Support Public Health Nursing Diabetes Program Housing Services and a private dental clinic An annex has been constructed onto the hospital which houses the Community Addictions amp Mental Health Program The Hospital also provides office space for Department of Health and Wellness Staff in the areas of Human Resources Finance and Purchasing Most of the healthcare services delivered in Eastern Kings are located within Souris Hospital
