History

Introduction
Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation was created in 1985 to receive and solicit funds for the Langley Memorial Hospital

Funding
The Hospitals capital equipment requirements each year increasingly exceed provincial and municipal government funding As the hospital adds programs and services it must depend more and more on the Foundation to provide funds as government funding alone is not sufficient to cover all these costs The Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to and actively involved in raising funds for the Langley Memorial Hospital and the healthcare needs of the Langley communities

Annual Programs
The Foundation has become much more focused and active in its fundraising endeavours Our Annual Giving Program provides opportunities for community support of the Hospital through such events as the Charity Gala Annual Golf Tournament and Holiday Mailer

The Foundation is continuing a community tradition of support for our local hospital dating back to 1943 when residents first began raising money to build the Langley Memorial Hospital
