Child Development Resource Connection Peel collaborates with community partners to promote the quality care of children up to 12 years of age and to support the quality of family life

Recognizing the critical importance of providing Early Childhood Education and resources to children in their formative years we support families staff and the community by sharing information promoting education and providing opportunities to work together


History

In the Spring of 2001 the Peel Child Care Committee changed its name to Child Development Resource Connection Peel and incorporated as a nonprofit agency with charitable status CDRCP is now located at 75 Watline Avenue Unit 103 Mississauga L4Z 3E5 Our new office has a large trainingmeeting room and a professional resource centre

CDRCP was formed in 1993 under the name Peel Child Care Committee at the request of the Ministry of Community Family and Childrens Services to review child care needs in Peel The Committee members including parents and representatives from child care providers resource centres Boards of Education Region of Peel Ministry of Community Family and Childrens Services and community groups embarked on a process of community consultation surveys and datastatistical analysis The process culminated in a report called A Community Child Care Plan for Peel

As a result of this report CDRCP commenced providing service to the community in 1994 Since then the community has identified other needs and additional services have been developed that support parents and caregivers
