History

In 1985 Chesterville Day Hospital started in a renovated house at 28 Chesterville Road CHELTENHAM as South Eastern Endoscopy Service Initially only Gastroscopy was offered
In 1989 we were one of the first Day Surgeries to receive registration with the State Health Department and Commonwealth Department of Health Colonoscopy was introduced

The site was popular with patients with its close proximity to Southland but parking and entry to the Building was limited

In 2000 the block of land next door was purchased and development of Chesterville Day Hospital commenced The new Day Hospital was opened in Nov 2001 with two Theatres 10 recovery beds and importantly 19 car spaces
