History

History
Skyline Hospital governed by a fivemember Board of Commissioners has always garnered great public support And no where is that more evident than in the series of upgrades they have undergone about every ten years since inception Skyline Hospital was originally constructed in 1952 through the HillBurton Act with the addition of one wing in the early 1970s

Another 27 million renovation funded through a supermajority bond in 1998 enhanced the facility with a new surgery suite emergency room physical therapy room laboratory and admitting area A year later the hospital purchased an adjoining sevenacre parcel of land to facilitate our longrange plans

In May 2010 Skyline celebrated the grand reopening of the new stateoftheart patient wing and fullservice radiology center This marks an exciting moment for Skyline a community hospital that is finally turning heads in the medical world with the recent acquisition and installation of some of the best diagnostic imaging equipment in the Gorge
