Memorial Medical Center of West Michigan is an 87bed independent acute care hospital located in Ludington Michigan in Mason County along the shore of Lake Michigan It is located 60 miles north of Muskegon and 90 miles northwest of Grand Rapids

Founded in 1906 the hospital has evolved over the past century to become a regional medical center serving mainly four counties Mason Oceana the southern portion of Manistee and the western portion of Lake Additionally thousands of tourists receive care at the hospital during the summer months

Memorial Medical Center has a wide range of services that includes inpatient medical surgical stepdown obstetrical and critical care units as well as a 14bed inpatient behavioral health unit Outpatient services include laboratory a full complement of medical imaging diagnostic services including a 40slice CT and fixedbased 15 Tesla MRI a Womens Imaging Center complete with digital mammography bone density and pelvic and breast ultrasound comprehensive cardiopulmonary services rehabilitation services in the areas most comprehensive rehab facility and an array of outpatient surgical procedures

In addition MMC has 24hour emergency department care including a FastER track service for treatment of minor illness and injuries with minimal wait time and a comprehensive sleep lab with sleep disorders testing and diagnostic services

Dialysis services are offered on our campus by DaVita Healthcare Specialties on our medical staff include general and vascular surgery orthopaedic surgery pediatrics ENT oncology and hematology emergency medicine urology and psychiatry as well as family practice internal medicine anesthesiology radiology pathology ophthalmology and OBGYN

Memorial Medical Center is the only hospital in Mason County and has a satellite facility Memorial Family Care Center located in Hart in Oceana County directly south of Mason County Memorial Family Care Center is a primary care clinic with full onsite laboratory and radiology services as well as mammography It is staffed by a family practice physician and a physician assistant along with a full complement of nursing professionals and support staff

The hospital employs more than 500 employees and currently is the largest employer in Mason County The focus is on customer service and individualized patientcentered care A broad array of services is available to meet community needs in an environment where stateoftheart medical technology is combined with high touch service
