The medical center employs around 1000 employees and focuses on obstetrics general surgery emergency services and other services according to community need Banner Gateway Medical Center offers 176 private rooms eight operating suites and a 37bed Emergency department The 60acre campus was built with room to triple in size with the capacity to add two patient towers and coordinating support services

Additionally the hospital incorporates stateoftheart technology such as a completely electronic medical record This includes computerized physician order entry an electronic system that eliminates paper charts and allows doctors to automatically update patient information and place medication orders subsequently reducing and eliminating medical errors We are also the first in the country to offer an extra type of monitoring iCare for our medicalsurgical patients as well as intensivecare patients
