About Murray Valley Private Hospital
The Murray Valley Private Hospital MVPH was opened on March 17 1999 by Dr Michael Wooldridge

It is Australias first rural radiation and medical oncology centre and provides a comprehensive and specialist cancer service to the community of regional Victoria and southern NSW

Other services provided by MVPH include acute medical care chemotherapy day patient services nonanaesthetic sameday procedures rehabilitation services and lowcost accommodation for outpatients and patient carers

In October 2001 MVPH gained external recognition of the very high quality of services it provides from two differing sources

The Australian Council of Health Care Standards ACHS awarded MVPH with the maximum fouryear accreditation through the Evaluation and Quality Improvement Programme EQuIP which is an excellent achievement for a new healthcare facility and

A national and independent survey of 93 hospitals found that MVPH had the second highest level of satisfaction of all hospitals surveyed The distinctive competencies that were identified in the survey were a the very high calibre of medical and nursing staff and b the exceptional level of courtesy given to both patients and visitors 100 of patients noted that they would recommend the facility
